We are currently taking bookings for our Christmas Feasting, a fantastic sharing feast of locally sourced produce in the newly refurbished restaurant, a perfect setting for the festive season.
Our feasts are available to tables of 10 or more, you will be served an array of starters and nibbles, a communal main course to be shared with the table and dessert. All tables will be decorated with crackers and there will be tea and coffee to finish.

The Bookshop restaurant has a focus on modern ethical eating, demanding of itself sustainability, local ingredients, and considered food.
From 8am daily, brunch, great coffee, and cakes are served in a relaxed setting that has been thoughtfully designed to accommodate both working and socialising. The restaurant opens its doors in the evenings from Wednesday to Saturday (6pm-10pm) offering a menu continuing to celebrate organic vegetables and grass-fed steak, with the addition of a greater choice of seasonal fish, vegan and gluten-free dishes. The menu showcases our teams’ creativity in fermenting, pickling and foraging, and use of a handmade charcoal-fired Fogarty oven. On Sundays, our award-winning Sunday lunch (Observer Food Monthly Awards, Best Sunday Lunch 2017) is served between 12.30 - 6pm. Extended opening hours, relaxed drinking areas, and a beautiful garden invites our customers to spend time enjoying drinks from our carefully created cocktail and drinks menu.
Alongside our passion for serving stunning food, we are also highly conscious of the need to constantly improve and reduce our impact on the planet. All our energy is from renewable sources, our waste oil is turned into biodiesel, our suppliers are local, and we have eliminated single-use plastics. Our plan is to keep this way of thinking going so we can help make the world a better place, showcase exquisite local food, and continue to support local businesses and our community.

We serve our steak led evening menu 4 nights a week from our open kitchen, at the heart of which is our Foggarty coal fired oven.

On Sunday we serve our award winning Sunday lunch.
Everything is made in house from our gravy to our duck fat roast potatoes, come on down and see what all the fuss is about.

Our stunning bar area is open 4 nights a week, serving up a punchy selection of cocktails, craft beers and finely curated wines. (You can see the wine menu below)
You don’t need a reservation to come in for a drink, feel free to stop by and enjoy a cocktail or two.

For bookings of 8 or more, we require card details to secure the reservation. These will be held securely in our PCI-compliant Payment Gateway.
For a party of 8 or more, we require 48-hours notice of cancellation. A notice of 24 hours is required for any amendments to your booking. Any cancellations or amendments outside of this timescale will incur a charge of £10 per head, to be charged to the card details provided at the time of booking.
